Diagnostika/ Diagnostic Basis

Updated: Feb 28, 2021

Diagnostic and interviewing is the process to obtain information from patients. These information collected through interview and examination will be considered as a whole and cross examine with other diagnostic means to get a clear and precise picture.

An accurate diagnosis is the first step to successful treatment. It is like finding a leakage at home so one may do targeted measure. Even for an excellent plumber, nothing will get improved if he keep fixing the leaks in the kitchen but actually the real source is in the garage.

For the optimal result during the diagnostic, the patient can assist by the followings:

  1. Stay calm. Avoid strong physical activities immediately before the consultation;

  2. Do not clean your tongue, please read Tongue diagnostic to understand why;

  3. Describe the situation as it is and as you feel without giving your own interpretation because your own “diagnosis” could be misleading;

  4. Pay attention to your body by observing subtle changes after certain food, changes in appetite, sleep, urination ,defecation and of course your chief complains.
